Combining Motherhood and Work: Effects of Dual Identity and Identity Conflict on Well-Being

Abstract This study investigated whether having a dual identity as both mother and an employed person constitutes threat to well-being, or it is positive resource. The focused on indices of life satisfaction self-esteem. A convenience sample 208 mothers were exposed manipulation conflict, whereby we manipulated working perceived their identities be in conflict with each other not.
